John J. Ferguson, a former senior partner of Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, formed the firm of Ferguson, Aufsesser, Hallowell & Wrynn, LLP, in January 2006 with a senior partner of Fair & Aufsesser of White Plains, New York, and former Bleakley Platt & Schmidt attorneys J. Lincoln Hallowell and Gerard M. Wrynn. Also joining the firm as “of counsel” were John E. Meerbergen, former Greenwich, Connecticut, Town Attorney, and Kenneth G. Walsh, former general counsel at United States Trust Company.

In April 2009, Stuart M. Cohen, a former senior partner at Proskauer Rose in New York, brought his extensive commercial real estate practice to the firm and the present name of the firm, Ferguson Cohen LLP, was adopted.
